It has been said to be thankful makes one happier.
In 2012 before I had Corey, I went to a Christian counselor who worked with me on my anger. It was actually a turning point in my life as I was introduced to the true God. A God who loves. Not just a God in my head but a God who is physical and real. I had never seen God before in this light and it changed my life. I would not be the kind of mom or person I am today without meeting God.
My counselor encouraged me to always at the end of my day look back and write down 3 tings that I am thankful for that happened that day. His only 2 rules were that it needed to be specific and original. I couldn't have written about it previously. I have made it more personal by saying "thank you to God" rather then just what I'm thankful for. It helps me acknowledge his blessings more.
So my first 30 day challenge is to write 3 things I am thankful for. I will be keeping a journal as well as this blog. I hope you will join me and feel free to share what you are thankful for in the comments.
Day 1
1. Thank you father that I haven't had this baby yet.
2. Thank you God for a deeper understanding of rest in ministry.
3. Thank you God for a slower day at work.

I look forward to reading what blessings God has given you.
