Another Day Alive

Yep I'm at it again.  Trying hard to stay focused and on task.  I guess telling someone about it really helps me.  What helps more is when people ask me about it.  I can't lie to a face, it is easier to stay hidden behind a computer though.

I have had a bit of depression lately.  Not sure what from.  Post-partum that has lingered, the whole upheavel of my life, no consistency, the change in who I am and how I define who I am.  I'm just lost and I need a way out.

So here it is again, I've exercised today and drank half the amount of water I needed.  I haven't don't anything else today.

But I did have a great visit with a wonderful friend who inspired and helped me see that outside of me and my world, there are other women just like me who are struggling to find their place.

Thank you Lord for breaking into my self centered universe :)

My Brain is Dead

My brain is dead and I don't know what to do... or so it feels like.  Since I had Cara, I have felt very fuzzy, disorganized and chaotic.  Well I guess that is kinda my life right now.  Since before Cara was born we were crazily packing our house up, and preparing to move to a foreign country.  So it is no wonder I feel crazy and disorganized not to mention Chaotic.  Since coming back from Bolivia things have not changed.  We have been on the road since returning in May.

I have decided to take my life back... it may not last long but I am going to try.
Here are my goals for these 2 months that Chris is gone to MN and Africa.
1. Exercise 6 days a week
2. Walk every day with the kids
3. Drink my gallon of water
4. Complete my ASL online class
5. Continue to work on Spanish via Rosetta Stone and 10 words a day
6. Read 5-10 books a day to my kids
7. Start "School" with corey (ie teach him about trees etc) mostly nature stuff
8. Take me time every day for 1 hour (yes that means quite time for the kids) YES!
9. Learn to cook health food (thanks Karen for all the inspriation)

So Yes it looks like a lot but really my focus is to try to stay focused on my kids and my health.  The learning stuff will wake up my brain.

So for Day 1: I've exercise, walked, and I'm now having my quiet time.  guess tomorrow I'll get to the rest. haha

Life is Crazy

Life has been a bit crazy since my last post. First we attended an Andes wedding on the fly. It was a good experience and we got to know more people from our church.
Then we did something... I don't really have a memory like I use to. I gave it all to my kids.
Anyways, I did write us some 2016 goals which I agreed to publish.  I like to make goals and see of I can met all of them. This year I have a lot. About 18-24 depending on if you count all the books I Want to read as separate items. So far I am doing fine on the bible study and a few other things which is skipping my mind. But I give my self a lot of space to begin to meet all the goals. Why not. I do have 365 days to complete them.
So here they are:

1. Pray for 10 plus minutes morning noon and night, for friends, family and missions.
2. Read: daring to ask for more, parenting by the Spirit and God's holidays, home ministry and thoughts from the mount of blessings.
3. Read: conflict of the ages in 1 year plan.
4. Plan and Celebrate God's feasts.
5. Teach Corey All of Blue Manor Level 1.
6. Blog 4x a week
7. Date with the kids 1x/mo
8. Exercise: complete the 10 weeks of T25.
9. Drink 120oz of water every day.
10. Night time potty train Corey.
11. Day time potty train Cara.
12. Run a half marathon in Bolivia.
13. Date night 1x a week.
14. Family time 1x a week.
15. Have a 30 min conversation in spanish.
16. Physical Intimacy 3x a week.
17. Memorize the book of James and Proverbs 31
18. Run 3 more half marathons in 3 different states.

So what do you think. I know thy are attainable, I just have to put some effort into many of these.

Ok, so a new experience that we have had is playing Wally Ball. I love to play Volleyball but they don't have the space for huge gyms so they play wally ball. The kids here are pretty good at it too. I was pretty sore after playing just two days. But it is definitely something we are going to try to do once a week.

Family has been sick recently and coke has been added to our medicine cabinet for stomach and GI problems.  It seems to help unlike all the other natural remixes that we have tried.  I guess since it is not too frequent we can deal with it. But I must say... I don't like soda at all.

Well this week we are going to zona sur (South zone) where the rich people live to see Bout getting some products (spices and such) that we have not found anywhere else.  Then wednesday, we hope to go to the zoo here is LaPaz. We will see how that goes.
